Dear amici,
Do you have dreams of Rome? Why not come and explore with me and Untold Italy next year! We have been working hard behind the scenes with local expert guides on creating an incredible 3-day trip that explores the hidden characters and stories behind this legendary city.
Whether this is your first trip to Rome, or your tenth, join us to fall under the magic of one of the greatest cities in the world and leave bewitched with the untold tales that stitch the very fibre of Rome together .
We won’t be visiting the Colosseum, the Trevi fountain, or the Vatican Museums on this trip - they’re iconic for a reason of course - but instead delving deeper into the more ‘untold’ places in Rome.
There will be plenty of good food and wine too! From a glass of crisp Fiano paired with the crunch of a fried golden artichoke, to a bowl of cheesy cacio e pepe and a bite of a cream-laden maritozzo and of course a daily gelato - prepare your tastebuds for the ultimate Roman eating experience that will quite literally take you on a journey through the ages from Renaissance times to modern day.
Our group will be based in a quiet corner of Trastevere (hard to find!) which gives you the best of both worlds - easy access to stroll the picturesque cobblestoned streets, and a cosy, quiet base to retire to in the evenings.
We’re offering these 3 day tours throughout Spring and Fall/Autumn - our favourite time of the year to explore. We have adventures departing in May, October and November.
Where to eat in Rome - My Favourites
I get asked all the time about my favourite places to eat in Rome, so I decided to put together a blog that holds all the info in one easy place. Here is a flavour of my faves, with more info on my blog post.
Da Corrado - wine and cheese inside the Testaccio Market
Trattoria Pennestri - for modern classics
Marigold - for breakfast/lunch and sourdough bread
Pizzeria Da Remo - Roman style pizza
Piatto Romano- delicious Roman food with a focus on vegetables
Enotecca L’Antidoto - great wine bar in Trastevere with focus on low intervention wines
Trecca - Roman classics with a modern touch
Da Enzo - not a surprise to anyone, classics in Trastevere but you need to queue
Suppli’ - takeaway pizza slices and suppli in Trastevere
Roscioli - the absolute all-round best in Rome, you must book well in advance
Armando al Pantheon - in my opinion this one is maybe even better in Rome thanks to the location…! Must book exactly one month in advance
Il Pane di San Saba- very local, cute outdoor aperitivo on the terrace
Whether you’re starting or ending your la dolce vita vacation in beautiful Rome, you could honestly visit this city 100 times or live several lifetimes here and still not be done with her. Let us help you see the Eternal city in an entirely new way in 2023, completely enchanted and in love forever, just as I (and many others before me) have fallen under her spell.
Ciao,
Liv xo
