Ciao tutti,
I promised some exciting news was coming and here it is….In collaboration with Untold Italy, we are launching multiday tours in Piedmont in 2022! Ideal for food & wine lovers as well as anyone who wants to explore a less frequently traversed region of Italy. I have barely been able to contain my excitement and keep my lips sealed ever since we started working on this project some months ago.
Piedmont has been my home since 2019 and it is such a privilege to have the opportunity to welcome guests to the region and show you some of the (delicious) delights it has to offer - Barolo, truffles, bicerin, and so much more. Think of it as a taste of some of Piedmont’s highlights; two nights in Royal, elegant Turin and two nights in the Langhe countryside. If you’re curious to learn more about Piedmont, have a listen to this podcast I recorded at the start of the year.
You will be wined and dined, visit Royal castles, go on guided walking tours with a certified tour guide, visit local markets, enjoy local cheeses you can’t find anywhere else, visit some of the borghi piu belli d’Italia (most beautiful villages in Italy), learn how to make traditional Piemontese pasta (that’s agnolotti or tajarin), visit wineries (and of course enjoy wine degustations) and even go on a truffle hunt!
There will be two dates to choose from; a Spring itinerary and an Autumn (fall) version. More info below!
Spring Piedmont Tour - May 16-20th 2022
Our Spring Piedmont itinerary is an immersive food lover’s trip starting in elegant Turin and continuing to the heart of Piedmont’s UNESCO-listed wine region, Le Langhe. We’ll visit Royal castles, famous Barolo and evocative hilltop towns, where you’ll enjoy gastronomic experiences including truffle hunting, cheese tasting, winery visits, and pasta making.
Springtime in Piedmont is simply stunning. The hills and countryside are bursting with new life and there are plenty of black truffles waiting to be found. The new vintages of Barolo and Barbaresco are released and there’s a real buzz in the air! Find out more (including the day-by-day itinerary) here.
Autumn Piedmont Tour - October 26-30th 2022
I moved to Piedmont in Autumn, so it has an extra special place in my heart. There’s no secret that this is my favourite time of year here thanks to the beautiful seasonal colours in the vineyards, the buzz of activity during the wine harvest, and of course the time when white truffles are waiting to be found. The weather is definitely a little cooler and you’ll need to rug up, but that just means hearty meals and Barolo taste that much better!
We’ll visit all the same places as our Spring itinerary with the added bonus of attending the International White Truffle Festival in Alba, the heart of Le Langhe wine region. Have a look at our Fall itinerary for more information.
I would be delighted if you decide to visit Piedmont with me! I’ve really put my heart into creating these itineraries so you can fall in love with this special region just like I did when I first discovered it.

Genoa with Enrica from A Small Kitchen in Genoa
Come for a walk through Genoa with Enrica and me! I’ve followed Enrica on Instagram since before I moved to Italy and even learnt to make pesto for the first time thanks to her fabulous recipe. Enrica is a home cook, fascinated with the recipes from her home region of Liguria. She shares them on her beautiful blog and Instagram and also runs cooking classes and food tours in Genoa. I can’t wait to see this port city through her eyes! Please let us know if you have any questions for Enrica before our live- hope to see you there.
Untold Italy Amici
I’ve had a lot of new subscribers to my mailing list (grazie!) since launching last week so I wanted to include another reminder to anyone who missed out on hearing about the Amici group. If you’ve listened to the Untold Italy podcast in the past, want advice for travelling to Italy or just want to be transported here every week, you’re going to want to join!
Untold Italy Amici sees audience favourite guests from previous podcast episodes return to reveal their top secrets about Italy. This means secret foods, drinks, towns, experiences, and more that they don’t usually reveal. I recorded the very first episode a little while ago with some of my top secrets if you're curious to find out! To give you a flavour, I spoke about a magical vineyard dinner in Tuscany, outdoor opera in an off the beaten path tiny town in the summertime, an unexpected feast during a wine tasting in the mountains in Calabria, a lemon festival and some gorgeous little towns in Piedmont.
